An electrical installations contractor was concerned that damaging a clients premises might lead to a claim. They also design and install lighting systems for high quality restaurants at airports and jewellers in the centre of London. They were concerned that they may be accused of flawed design if the system failed at some point in the future.
Overall, the concern was that the current policy hadn’t grown with the business and cover had to be wide ranging and competitive. We were asked to look for the right combination. We uncovered various options and discussed the weaknesses of each with the client. They decided upon a package where they could cope with the uninsured risks.
Cover provided included public liability, employers’ liability, contractors all risks, tools cover, hired in plant, professional indemnity for design and installation. Indemnity to principle contractors was included and documents prepared to submit to clients.
After sales service including managing the settlement of a claim within 5 weeks of the event ensuring maintenance of smooth customer relations. The window of a Bond Street jeweller was cracked from the inside whilst rewiring and a replacement was ordered the next day. Complications with the exchange rate were resolved to the suppliers satisfaction ensuring all parties were kept happy.
